Gloves

There are 27 bones and over 40 muscles and tendons in each of your hands, so a decent pair of motorcycle gloves is well worth the investment. Good gloves should:
- be comfortable - not too tight and not loose enough to fall off in a crash
- be practical - you should be able to comfortably feel and operate all the controls and switches on your motorcycle - test them on a handlebar before you buy
- cover at least 50 millimetres beyond your wrist joint
- protect your knuckles
- be able to be fastened with a wrist band so they stay on
- have double stitching on top of the main protective layer for extra strength
- be designed and padded to withstand the impact of sliding along the road
- have inside seams to avoid bursting
- be free from studs, staples, buckles or other sharp items that can penetrate the protective layer of the glove.
